Legacy Education

Build the capability for multi-generational family succession.
Why does legacy require education?

In our long-term experience accompanying Chinese families,
what truly determines whether a family can endure across generations is never merely the size of its assets,
but whether the family possesses the ability to understand structures, utilize tools, and make long-term decisions.

For this reason, Timeless International Family Office has always regarded Legacy Education
as the most fundamental and critical component of family governance and asset planning.

In 2011, we founded the International Institute of Inheritance in Hong Kong.
Our original intention was to provide systematic education and professional training,
helping entrepreneurs and family members in Hong Kong and Mainland China
learn how to apply scientific, institutional, and international frameworks
to pass on family assets, values, and governance structures with method and clarity—
rather than relying solely on personal experience or the advice of a single consultant.

We believe that “wealth beyond three generations” is not a slogan,
but a long-term capability that can be learned, replicated, and validated.

Legacy Education

Inheritance Legacy Academy

As the assets and enterprises of Chinese families become increasingly globalized, knowledge and tools limited to a single jurisdiction are no longer sufficient to address the complexity of real-world needs. For this reason, the International Legacy Institute has established branches in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur, and maintains close collaboration with professional institutions and regulatory authorities in each region. Through this network, we assist participants in understanding family governance, asset allocation, and compliant structuring across different legal jurisdictions.

Family Inheritance Planner Association

Therefore, in 2018, the International Legacy Institute entered into a cooperation agreement with the American Association of Family Legacy Planners, to promote the International Family Legacy Planner Certification Program across the Asia-Pacific region. The core design of this certification program is built upon an integrated perspective that transcends systems, jurisdictions, and generations, enabling professionals to make more forward-looking and structurally sound judgments when facing real-world family scenarios.

International Chinese Inheritance Association

We also collaborate with professional institutions in various regions—such as the International Chinese Inheritance Association—to jointly advance legacy education, integrating the transmission of professional knowledge with institutional understanding, local regulations, cultural contexts, and intergenerational values. Accordingly, in 2020, the International Legacy Institute formally entered into a partnership with the International Chinese Inheritance Association. Through this collaboration, institutional knowledge extends beyond the classroom and into the real decision-making environments of Chinese families. It enables a meaningful connection between structural understanding, practical experience, and local cultural context— collectively addressing the succession challenges faced by Chinese families at different stages of development.

Family Inheritance Association OF MALASIYA

Building upon this vision, in 2021 the International Legacy Institute established a strategic partnership with the Malaysia Family Legacy Association. Leveraging Southeast Asia’s unique geographic position, we have diversified legacy education by implementing practical, real-world learning within a distinctive environment—providing Chinese families with a framework that is both theoretically sound and practically executable. This has positioned Malaysia as a highly representative practice ground for Chinese families in areas such as institutional choice, cross-border asset allocation, and long-term governance. Through the lens of legacy education, Timeless International Family Office collaborates with professional institutions across regions to construct a legacy education network spanning Greater China and Southeast Asia. The core value of this network lies not in any single location or system, but in establishing a succession-oriented framework that can be understood, compared, and adapted across different legal jurisdictions, cultural contexts, and stages of development. In doing so, legacy education becomes more than the accumulation of knowledge—it becomes a shared foundation that enables Chinese families to make more forward-looking and resilient decisions in the face of future uncertainties.
